Architectural photographer James Ewing captured a three-part home designed by architects Katie and Danny MacNelly for their family in Buckingham County, Virginia. “The rolling hills and horse farms of Virginia are spectacular,” he says. “But the most memorable part of my visit was hanging out with Danny and Katie’s three boys, who made each shot into a new game.” Ewing, who often shoots artistic, anachronistic, or experimental spaces, studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art and lives in New York City with his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Claire.
