modern beach house thatch roof living dining bar cart

The interiors of a renovated El Salvador beach house were stripped of walls and color, save for some choice pops here and there that add visual interest. A series of bright yellow elements—including the kitchen range hood, accent pillows, a Circa low table by The Carrot Concept, and a bar trolley—carry the eye from the kitchen out into the interior courtyard.

Yellow glass-and-steel door engineered by Sand Studios

At Dwell founder Lara Deam's Mill Valley abode, a 2,000-pound pivoting door fabricated by Sand Studios is painted a bright hue of yellow-green.
