Do you know that daylight savings time this fall is November first? That means we’re awarded one extra hour of sleep after Halloween festivities—or one extra hour to stay up on Halloween night, however you want to look at it. We’ve assembled a collection of products in honor of “falling back” this year. These designs will come in handy all fall and winter long.

Inviting throw in red and coral palette

Cozy up with the Arv Throw from Røros Tweed. It blends centuries-old weaving techniques with modern geometric forms. It’s the perfect complement to a lazy autumn morning.

Simple memory foam pillow with three-layer technology

For your extra hour of sleep, rest your head on a supportive pillow. The E3 Memory Foam Pillow is specifically engineered to provide airflow while sleeping and it's crafted from hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, and dust resistant materials.

Classic alarm clock with distinctive markers

When it is time to wake up, use a well-designed alarm clock. The second edition of Joe Colombo’s Optic Table Alarm Clock, this clock was originally designed in 1988. With a compact form and numbers 1-60 to denote the seconds, this stylish clock is a welcome addition to a nightstand.

Graphic quilt made of 100 percent cotton

Snuggle up on the couch with a graphic quilt from Louise Gray. Made of 100 percent cotton and featuring a neutral palette of light grey, charcoal, and black, this throw quilt has generous size. Each quilt is hand-assembled and hand-stitched by artisans in the United States.

Classic stainless steel six-cup espresso maker

Caffeinate in style with this iconic espresso maker from designer Richard Sapper. It was the first home product in Alessi’s history, and the first product inducted in the Permanent Collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

5 / 10
Distinctive handmade mug with marbling technique

The marbled Day-Night Mug is the perfect vessel for a cup of coffee or tea. It is comprised of two colors of porcelain that have been blended to create a one-of-a-kind look.

Lambswool throw pillow cover with fox print

While you’re lounging, invite a cuddly friend to join. The Fox Throw Pillow Cover from Scottish designer Donna Wilson is made of lambswool for an ultra inviting touch.

7 / 10
Smooth ash wood nesting bowls

Prepare lounging snacks with this set of three ash wood bowls. Stained in soft, soothing hues, the set is then waxed and polished for deep glowing finish. It is now on sale at the Dwell Store.

8 / 10
Black portable lamp in matte finish

With days getting shorter, the M Lamp from Juniper and designer David Irwin offers a bright, portable light source. Its design is inspired by original miners’ lamps, but has an undeniably modern feel.

9 / 10
Artfully designed chess set with distinctive pieces

The seasonal change probably means more inside time, and we think there’s no better way to pass the time than to play a classic game with family members and friends. This chess set came out of a lifelong friendship with chess enthusiast friends Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray. Man Ray creates this distinctive chess set in 1920, offering a personal interpretation of each character on the chess board: an Egyptian pyramid for the King, a medieval headdress for the Queen, a flask for the Bishop and the carved scroll of a violin for the Knight.
